How to check BSNL Broadband Data Usage

Some of you might be in a fix that you are having BSNL broadband, but dont know how to check your broadband data usage. There are many methods to check BSNL broadband usage, Here i am suggesting you some of the methods.

1. Find BSNL broadband usage via BSNL Portal :-

Go to BSNL Portal

Enter you User Name and Password at the top left of sidebar, then click on Login. Note that this portal works only for the user having IP addresses of type 5x.xx.xx.xx. Users with IP addresses of type 117.xx.xx.xx shall go on link http://data.bsnl.in/wps/portal and login with your Portal User ID and Password. Portal ID can be obtained from BSNL customer care or by calling the Toll free number 1800-424-1600.you can check your IP address by clicking Start -> Run and type cmd . then press Ok. Press ipconfig and then Enter. your IP address will be shown.

Once you login, you will see some links in sidebar. Click on "Service Records" link.

You can choose to view the usage statistics for any month. Then, select the service and Domain for which you want to check the usage.You may also choose to view the usage statistics for “All Services” and “All domains”. After making the selection, Click the “Ok” button.

You will then be shown the complete usage statistics including Total Send Volume(GB), Total Receive Volume(GB), Total Volume (GB), Total Duration(hour), Sum Traffic Excluding Night Unlimited(GB). BSNL also gives separate usage statistics for every single day and for every service that you make use of.

2. Firefox add-in to check BSNL Usage :-

There is even a firefox add-on to check bsnl broadband usage. Download and install the Datafox firefox add-on on your firefox browser.

After installing the firefox add-on, restart Firefox, and click on its status bar icon to enter your BSNL username and password. Then click on the “Login” button. You will then be able to Check BSNL Dataone Broadband usage by mousing over the cursor on top of the status bar icon.

3. Except them there are many free automated tools or utilities on internet to check BSNL broadband usage like Shaplus, Broadband Usage, Bandwidth Usage Monitor, MZL & Novatech Traffic Statistics. Just download them and follow instructions. But personally i wont suggest these tools due to less reliability.

How To Check Temperature PC Components With Open Hardware Monitor - Monitor or check the temperature of various components (hardware) computer now is not a difficult thing again and it is important to do regularly. It is very easy to do, what else it can be done using free software Open Hardware Monitor. So to check the temperature of computer components you do not need to pay anything, but free.

As the name suggests, this software is not only free but open source software and includes one full-featured enough monitor. Open Hardware monitor supports a variety of chips used in a variety of computer motherboards today.

Because it is open source, we can also get the source code and can be learned for those who have programming skills. In addition, Open Hardware monitor in addition to running on Windows can also run on Linux using Mono Framework.

So far, the software monitors the temperature of computer components that I use frequently is Hardware Monitor, with a simple display and is able to monitor the various components. In terms of appearance, Open hardware monitor displays information exactly as CPUID Hardware Monitor.

In terms of the ability of the monitor, when I try to monitor on a desktop computer (PC),which monitored the same components, except that Open Hardware Monitor provide more information for the CPU and VGA, namely by adding information such as clock and vga memory and processor load is used (either for CPU / VGA) as well as information fan (fan) used VGA.

In addition, to control the GPU fan (fan VGA), while the right-click no option to set what percentage of the power / speed to be allocated. From this brief comparison to PC Open Hardware Monitor looks superior.

But when I try on Laptop / Notebook, Open Hardware Monitor than a little behind with Hardware Monitor. Hardware Monitor in addition to be able to monitor the various components such as the PC, there are additional Laptop Battery monitor, while the Open HM is not available (perhaps because his version is still beta, I hope the final version was able to include this feature).

In addition to monitoring, Open Hardware Monitor also provides more features to display the plot / graph (although when I try to not perform), and can display information as a gadget on the Windows desktop with an attractive appearance. Trick How to Check the condition Hard disk with HD Tune Applications - After giving the trick to improve the hard disk, now I will tell you how Check Condition Hard disk with HD Tune Application. Hard drive is the component that should receive more attention in the computer system. Good or poor performance of the hard drive will greatly affect the overall computer performance. In this article I am going to share about how to check the condition of the computer hard drive using HD Tune hard disk utility application. HD Tune application you can download from their site at www.hdtune.com.

HD Tune on the application, there are four main menu that we can use to check the hard drive, namely:

Benchmarks used to measure the performance of hard disk
Info, displays more detailed information from the hard drive
Health, examined the health status of hard drives by utilizing the features of SMART
Error Scan, checks for errors or bad sectors with do scan disk.

1. Benchmark Hard disk

Benchmark aims to measure performance of hard disk. In the menu of thisbenchmark we can know the transfer rate, access time, burst rate and CPU Usage. To starther hard drive benchmark, Benchmark tab and click Start, looks less like the following:

Transfer Rate is the speed of sending data to a computer hard drive or it could be called a hard drive read speed. Read speed is measured in megabytes per second (MB / sec).Maximum speed and minimum average shown on the right. Blue line on the graph shows the performance of reading the entire disk.
Access Time, the time needed to access the data needed, from idle (silent) to obtain the data. Average access time is measured and displayed in millisecond (ms). Access Time on the graph is displayed as yellow dots where the smaller value indicates a better hard drive performance.
Burst Rate, is the highest speed (in megabytes per second) at which data can be transferred from the drive interface (for example, IDE, SATA or SCSI) to the OperatingSystem.
CPU Usage, shows how much time is used by the CPU (in%) for reading data from disk.

Below is an example when running the benchmark on the hard disk is damaged, look how the transfer speed drops to almost zero at some point during the test.

2. Knowing hard disks Detail Information

To find detailed information from the hard drive can take a look at the Info tab. Some information such as a partition on the hard disk, firmware version, serial number, hard drive capacity, etc. can be obtained as shown below.

3. Knowing Health Condition / Health Status Hard Disk

Health conditions can we know the hard drive on Health tab. These functions make use of features SMART (Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology). Examples of disk health status can be seen in the figure below.

In the table there are various parameters measured, including the current temperature of hard drives. For the disk temperature should be below 50 degrees Celsius and should not exceed 60 degrees Celsius. Here also we can get information about the power on time or work time hard drive, my hard drive in the above picture was already in operation for 11 518 hours.

4. Checking the Error on HDD

The last thing we can do with HD Tune application is doing Scandisk to check whetherthere are errors or bad sectors on hard drive. To get the maximum run Error Scan with the option to uncheck the quick scan. If there are errors or bad sectors on the disk surface, will be marked with the red block as shown below.

So little information about how to determine the condition of the computer hard drive by using HD Tune hard disk utility application. With this application can give us the current condition of the hard drive, is it still worth the time or was replaced.
