SBSettings Offers Faster Method to Manage iPhone Settings
Then you should checkout jailbreak app - SBSettings which is a replacement of BossPrefs. Its offers faster method to manage your iPhones settings especially if you are using some other app.
SBSettings is a jailbreak application that brings various toggle switches directly to iPhones home screen that are available in the Settings app. SBSettings is also considered as a replacement for BossPref, which offered similar functions in iPhone firmware 1.x
SBSettings is not like the regular iPhone app that can be launched from the home screen by tapping on its icon. To launch it, you have to swipe on iPhones status bar or tap the status bar using two fingers. Once SBSettings is launched, youll see various toggle switches that are available in the Settings app such as Wi-Fi, 3G, EDGE, Bluetooth, Brightness etc. Just tap on the switch to disable or enable the feature (Red is "Off", Green is "On"). Isnt that a much faster method to change the settings?
Example: SBSettings Launched from iPhone Maps App
You can install SBSettings for free using Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone. As I had mentioned earlier, it does not install the application icon on iPhones home screen like other iPhone apps. You can launch it by swiping on your iPhones status bar or tapping the status bar using two fingers.
What do you think about SBSettings? Have you used it before? Please lets us know in the comments below.
SBSettings Toggle Allows You To Quickly Enable Or Disable Personal Hotspot Feature
Personal Hotspot was one of the most useful features introduced in iOS 4.3, which lets you connect other devices to the Internet using the iPhone 4s data connection. But it’s a pain to disable the feature when you don’t need it.
A jailbreak tweak aptly named Personal Hotspot SBSettings Toggle has recently been released that allows iPhone 4 users to quickly enable or disable the Personal Hotspot feature.
SBSettings is one of our favorite jailbreak apps as it offers a faster way to disable or enable settings like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G etc instead of the usual process of using the Settings App. Developers can also create custom toggles for SBSettings that can be installed from Cydia so that users can access them quickly from SBSettings menu.
Elias Limneos has developed the custom Personal Hotspot SBSettings Toggle, which allows you to enable or disable the Personal Hotspot feature. You can install the custom toggle for free from Cydia using these instructions:
- Install SBSettings on your jailbroken iPhone 4 if you haven’t installed it already. You checkout this post for more details.
- Launch Cydia from iPhone’s homescreen.
- Tap on the Search tab and search for Personal Hotspot SBSettings Toggle.
- Tap on Personal Hotspot SBSettings Toggle from the search results to install it on your iPhone.
You should now see the Personal Hotspot SBSettings toggle in the SBSettings menu when you swipe your finger on iPhones status bar.
Tap on the toggle to disable (turns red) or enable (turns green) the Personal Hotspot feature.
As always, let us know if you found this toggle useful in the comments below.

Fast Fast Now Charge Your iPhone Faster

Fast Fast Now Charge Your iPhone Faster dont worry. complaining about your smartphones short battery life or the amount of time it takes to charge up are classic examples of the first world problems that can result in impatience and mild irritability.
While weve previously looked at ways in which you can improve your iPhones battery life, were now taking a look at how you can make the darn thing charge a bit faster.
Theres no secret sauce, unfortunately, but there are a few tips and tricks you can employ to get your cells battery from flat to full in less time. Have a read of our suggestions below.
Turn It Off
If you want your iPhone to charge faster, anecdotal evidence suggests turning it off — so its not using any power while its juicing up — will cut down charge times.
If you dont want to hit the power button, then putting your handset in "Airplane Mode" (from the "Settings" menu) will stop your phone looking for cellular and Wi-Fi signals and can speed up the process.
At the very least, try not to use your phone while its on charge. Lock the screen by hitting the sleep/wake button on the top right of your handset to give it a break while it recharges.
Use a Wall Charger
Your iPhone will charge fastest from a power outlet, rather than via a USB port. Apples official advice "for the quickest charge" is to "connect the device to a power outlet using the USB cable that came with the device and an Apple USB power adapter."
Did you know that a batterys ability to hold a charge is significantly degraded by extreme temperatures?
Apple states that "heat will degrade your batterys performance the most" and advises that you "keep your iPhone out of the sun or a hot car (including the glove box)."
Certain cases and covers that trap heat can also be problematic. If your iPhone gets hot while you charge it in a case, then you should notice a difference if you remove it prior to charging.
The official advice is to keep your iPhone as near room temperature (22 degrees Centigrade or 72 degrees Farenheit) as possible.
Speed Up USB Charges
If USB charging is your only option, there are ways to speed this process up.
If youre looking for a fast charge, dont sync your iPhone at the same time. Its also advisable to remove all other USB devices that might be drawing power.
Dont let your computer go into standby or hibernation mode while youre trying to juice up your phone. This might actually drain your handsets power, and could stop the charging process, in some cases
Battery Maintenance
Finally, Apple offers some advice about how to properly maintain your iPhones battery.
"For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down)."
