Gevey SIM can unlock iPhone 4 on Baseband 2 10 04 3 10 01 ! Confirmed !

Guys over RedmondPie has just got some exclusive screenshots of unlocked iPhone 4 on baseband 02.10.04 running T-Mobile network. This iPhone 4 is unlocked by Gevey SIM which was announced few days ago.

Gevey SIM for iPhone 4 basically works by forcing the activation of the baseband using the emergency dialer, and it is also said to be vulnerable up to iOS 4.3. In case you want to get a one, you can navigate here and read more about it.

We totally advice and recommend you wait for a legal iPhone 4 unlock from the iPhone Dev Team which will be possible soon thanks to the 40-bit NCK exploit for iPhone 4.

iPhone 4S can reportedly be unlocked without any hardware or software changes

A developer (via Chronic) has apparently discovered how to unlock the iPhone 4S (reportedly AT&T version only) without any software or hardware tweaking. The unlock will assist you in using your iPhone 4S on T-Mobile’s network as long as you have a T-Mobile SIM card. Before you get started, go ahead and cut down your T-Mobile SIM card to match your AT&T SIM card’s size. We’re working to confirm this works, but go ahead and give the following directions a try:

Insert original carrier AT&T SIM card
Dial 611 for AT&T customer service hotline and drop the call
Turn on Airplane Mode

Take out AT&T SIM card
Insert T-Mobile SIM card
Make sure WiFi is off ( also tap on ‘Forget this Network” to make sure it doesn’t connect automatically later)
Switch off Airplane Mode and iPhone will search for network. This is followed by the Apple splash screen appearing.
Activation Required will be displayed on the screen
EDGE network will activate automatically – notice the ‘E’ on the top left corner of the screen
Wait for about 20-30 seconds and turn off the phone
Turn on iPhone and the same Activation Required screen will be displayed
When you see one signal bar, tap on Use Cellular Connection
Eject SIM card
Activation Required screen will be displayed the second time
Insert SIM card
Unlocked!

OTA updaters can jailbreak ios5b6 with Redsn0w 0 9 8b5

Yes you read that correct

IOS 5 beta6 can be jailbroken using redsn0w 0.9.8b5
To jailbreak follow these steps !

1) Clean install of IOS 5 beta 5 (Dont jailbreak)

2) OTA update to beta 6

3) After its updated to Beta 6 Run redsn0w 0.9.8b5 (Download Link given in the end) point to IOS 5 beta 5 firmware and Select Install Cydia

4) Now Boot tethered and finally your iphone will be jailbroken!!
NOTE :
(Must read before doing anything)

1. If you update to ios 5 beta 6 using itunes then its not possible to jailbreak IOS 5 beta 6 with Redsn0w 0.9.8b5 you need to wait till Redsn0w 0.9.8b6 is out (You have been warned)
