Delhi Police Recruitment 2013 for SI ASI and Intelligence Officer Notification Exam syllabus Exam pattern and tips to crack exam

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications from Indian for the post of Sub-Inspector and Intelligence Officer in Delhi police, CAPFs, CISF and NCB. 
You can check number of vacancies and grade pay for these posts, click here.

All eligible and interested candidates can apply till 12th April, 2013 upto 5.00 pm for these post of recruitment.
Candidates should be between 20-25 years as on 01 January 2013 and should hold a degree of graduation from a recognized university.

After applying for these post of SI, ASI and Intelligence Officer, one may be in dilemma what should do after applying, how to prepare for these posts of ssc, what is the exam pattern of delhi police SI and Intelligence officer recruitment exam, what is the exam syllabus for these posts of delhi police. EXAM PATTERN OF SSC, DELHI POLICE EXAM FOR POST OF SI, ASI AND INTELLIGENCE OFFICER:
 
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written examination, Interview and Personality test.
Written examination comprise of two objective papers on two different days.

Written examination Paper-I ( 10 June, 2013 ) - 200 questions of 200 marks in 2 hours duration

1. General Intelligence and Reasoning - 50 questions of 50 marks
2. General Knowledge and Awareness - 50 questions of 50 marks
3. Quantitative Aptitude - 50 questions of 50 marks
4. English Comprehension - 50 questions of 50 marks

Written examination Paper-II ( 18 Aug, 2013 ) 

English language and Comprehension - 200 questions of 200 marks in 2 hours duration

TIPS AND TRICKS TO CRACK SSC DELHI POLICE SI, ASI RECRUITMENT EXAM :
  •  There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrongly answered questions, so carefully attempt all questions.
  • For General Reasoning dont try hard, have some basic idea of all types and practice a lot on questions.
  • For General awareness, i advice you to prefer Lucent book.
  • For Quantitative ability, try to solve problems upto your secondary class. clear your concepts and practice more questions.
  • I advice you to attempt all section equally by dividing seperate time for all. Try to attempt sections by pre-decided planning of time. Never run to attempt all questions.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern of SSC CGL Exam 2014 updated


Hey friends you have submitted application for SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL)Exam 2014,
Now definitely you have some questions in your mind  How to prepare for SSC CGL exam 2014? What is the Exam Pattern of SSC CGL exam 2014? What is the Syllabus of SSC CGL Exam 2014? What is the great tips and tricks to crack SSC CGL Exam 2014?

First we will discuss about the exam pattern of SSC CGL exam, then we will go through Syllabus of SSC CGL, then after will discuss some acute tips to crack SSC CGL Exam 2014.


EXAM PATTERN OF SSC CGL EXAM 2014 -

SSC CGL Exam pattern includes three steps of examination - SSC CGL  Tier 1 & Tier 2 exam, then Interview

Tier 1: In Tier 1 Written Exam is held which is objective type.
Tier II:  In Tier II written exam is held which is also based on objective type.
Tier III: In Tier III Personality Test /Interview/Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test are held.



SYLLABUS OF SSC CGL TIER 1 EXAM  2014 -

The Syllabus of the SSC CGL 2014 Tier 1 Syllabus is as follows-
  1. General Intelligence +Reasoning - 50 questions
  2. General Awareness - 50 questions
  3. Quantitative Aptitude - 50 questions
  4. English Comprehension - 50 questions
The Exam will be of 2 hours for the General Candidates and 40 minutes extended for PH candidates. This SSC CGL Tier1 exam is of maximum marks of 200 and paper carries negative marking (0.25 mark is deduced for each wrong answer)


 TIPS AND TRICKS TO CRACK SSC CGL EXAM 2013 -

To crack SSC CGL Exam, the first thing you have to improve is your question attempting speed and time management. There is no individual cut off to crack SSC CGL examination, so you have to attempt as maximum questions you  can. Always make a proper idea in your mind that for what section of exam you should start and proceed.
 
Beside these I am discussing about individual sections of SSC CGL Exam 2014......

General Intelligence + Reasoning :- This section includes questions related to numbers/letter/word problems, missing number problems, direction sensing problems and mainly figures problems. This section is not so tough to handle. so i personally suggest you to start your exam with this section. This section is marks gaining portion.

General Awareness :- Just cram up dead general knowledge. This part will include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity & Scientic Research. Here i advice you to refer Lucent general knowledge book , which will be more beneficial for this short time. This section is some extent difficult portion   

Quantitative Aptitude :- This section of ssc cgl exam is the toughest one. This section includes mathematics problems up to secondary class. but the main deciding questions are of trignometry, geometry and pie chart questions. You have to mainly emphasize on this section to crack your ssc cgl exam.

 English Comprehension :- This section of ssc cgl exam includes problems of sentence errors, synonyms, antonyms, idiom/phrase, spelling check and passage questions. less efforts will result more marks, but be carefull while attempting as there is negative marking for wrong answer.

    and you will be redirected to the savefrom.net download page  where you will be able to download the file in MP3,  MP4, 3GP, FLV and AVI (DivX) format.

By now you must have downloaded your favorite video on youtube.com without to tools and softwares. This will work on both Mobile Phone and PC. To download these youtube videos, you do not have to install and get involved with anything complicated.

Tips and Tricks for solving IES Exam 2013
  • The first thing while solving the question papers is to utilize your time optimality.
  • The question paper-I consists of 120 questions which are evenly based on English and General Studies. The questions on the topics of rearrangement of sentences and Comprehension are tedious and time consuming so it is suggested to solve these questions after completion of rest of the paper.
  • Solve tough question at the end.
  • While solving technical objective papers, try to solve the questions on theory first and then work on numerical questions as there is Negative Marking for each wrong answer.
  • On third day of examination there are two conventional pares. Before solving the paper first of all read the question paper thoroughly and mark the question in which you can perform you best.
  • Write the answers step by step, an impressive presentation with formulae, S.I units in the numerical.
  • Do prepare self handwritten notes, solve last 10 years question papers. 

This exam could be easily cracked by right strategy and consistent efforts. Grasping fundamental concepts of every subject is very important. You should have patience, stamina to face three days continuous exam duration (especially conventional exam- 6hrs.).

How to apply for Union bank of India Specialist Officer post

A candidate can apply online and download notification for examination from union bank of india website, click here. He has to download a challan form from the above link and take a printout of challan form. Now deposit the requisite fees  (Rs.250 for Gen and OBC, 50 for others) at any branch of union bank of india.
After depositing fees, apply online for Specialist Officer by filling all your information and payment details and submit it. Take a printout of submitted application form to be used for further references. The last date of online application submission is 24-03-2013.

TinyUmbrella Updated With Tentative iPhone 4S and iOS 5 0 1 Support

Just a quick heads-up: notcom updated Tinyumbrella with iOS5 support. Even though there is still no working solution for restoring 5.x on iPhone 4S, notcom released a 5.01.00 so you can at least save 5.0.1 SHSH. He added tentative support for at least saving 5.0.1 SHSHs for iPhone 4S but as of now we are unable to use them fully.

evasi0n iOS 6 x Jailbreak Untethered Errors And Fixes FAQ

As we are covering the official evad3rs updates on this website, lots of emails are stacking up on my email account related to errors and troubleshooting the evasi0n jailbreak tool. As the evad3rs have been very busy compiling the evasi0n jailbreak for all of us, they have had very less time to deal with all the errors that are popping around with the use of this tool. As I have tested this tool, overall it goes on pretty smoothly without any errors. Hit the jump to fix and troubleshoot the errors related to evasi0n tool.

Error 1: Cydia not loading up and cydia packages not installing

Cydia related errors in evasi0n are currently happening due to intense server overload on the cydias servers. Saurik is onto it and is busy fixing this issue. It is not caused by some technical problem in your idevice rather it is occuring simply due to millions of people are trying to access Cydia at the same point of time. See this tweet from Saurik below..

Update : Cydia Telesphoreo repo has been fixed, you can access it now if you still can’t, change your DNS to Google’s 8.8.8.8 server and try to access it again.


Error 2: Does evasi0n support OTA update

No, If you updated to iOS 6.1 via OTA (over-the-air update) it wont work on your idevice. Heres a quick solution :

Step 1: Firstly make a full backup of your device
Step 2: Update to iOS 6.1 using iTunes


Error 3: evasi0n does not work and fails everytime

It is happening because you have a passcode enabled on your idevice or you have left iTunes running during the jailbreaking process. Heres the fix..


  • Disable the passcode lock on your idevice
  • Dont touch your computer while evasi0n is running


Error 4: evasi0n gets stuck on “patching kernel”

If your idevice gets stuck on displaying “patching kernel” dont worry, be patient as it takes time as long as 15 minutes Click here to enlarge. If it still doesnt progress, press Power+Home button for a long time to force a reboot. Then again jailbreak your idevice from the very beginning. See the tweet by pod2g below.

Error 5 : evasi0n doesnt recognize my idevice

Although its working fine on every idevice as I have personally tested it. Make sure your idevice is supported, see the official list below.

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 4,4S
  • iPhone 5
  • iPod Touch 4th Generation
  • iPod Touch 5th Generation
  • iPad 2
  • iPad with Retina Display 3rd and 4th Generation
  • iPad Mini

As of now, any generation of the Apple TV is not supported. If it still doesnt work, restart your computer system or try to switch the USB ports, as they can cause havoc sometimes.


Error 6: evasi0n is stuck on "finding offsets"

This part of the jailbreak process takes a bit of time like around 8-10 minutes. If you still see no progress, do a Power+Home button force reboot your idevice.


Error 7: Jailbreak button appears to be grey/disabled, when the idevice is connected

This occurs because your iTunes backup is not protected by a password. You need to re-enable password protected backups again once the jailbreak process gets over.


Error 8: Weather app bug

If you have an iPad, an extra Weather app will appear after the jailbreak is completely finished. It is just hidden in a .plist extension configuration file. The evad3rs dev team member David Wang aka planetbeing is currently working on this bug fix with a Cydia patch obviously. See the below tweet from musclenerd...

Error 9: idevice freezes and gets stuck at Apple logo on booting

This problem is because of a random boot bug or it might be occuring due to an incompatible tweak. You can use any of the 3 solutions given below..

  • Hold Power+Home buttons to force reboot your idevice and it should work normally with the next reboot.
  • If it still doesnt work, try increasing the volume while booting
  • Uninstall Activator and Sbsettings tweaks

Error 10: idevice displaying wrong time zone and time after evasi0n jailbreak

As we are always updating this article with latest errors and bug fixes. We have been seeing a new bug that involves the wrong time zone and time after using evasi0n tool. To fix the incorrect time error toggle “Set Automatically” option to OFF. For the wrong time zone, follow this method below...


Step 1: Navigate to Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically > ON

Step 2: Now you need to go back again to Settings > Privacy > Location Services (ensure it’s set to on) > System Services > Setting Time Zone. Set this option to ON.

 Error 11: Cydia appears small after rebooting (quarter screen bug)?

This error or bug is known as the quarter screen bug. This bug looks like this on an iPad and iPhone (shown below).

 A lot of users are reporting this quarter screen bug. The root cause of this is that you might have installed an tweak incompatible with iOS 6 running on your idevice. Follow the method given below to solve the issue.

 Step 1: Firstly we need to disable all the tweaks. Reboot your idevice while holding the volume up button. .

 Step 2: Launch Cydia and uninstall all iOS 6 incompatible tweaks.

 If this doesnt work for you, to use Cydia again, just respring your idevice. However, this fix is not a permanent solution, it will again cause the same problem after a reboot.

If you are still experiencing troubles take a look at these tips as this will likely fix your troubles and errors.

  • Disable the passcode on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
  • DO NOT run itunes, tinyumbrella, xcode or any other idevice tools when you are jailbreaking.
  • If you ever get stuck, it’s completely safe to restart the evasi0n tool and force reboot your idevice using Power+Home button.
  • If it still doesnt work, make a fresh restore of iOS 6.1 and retry again .

Save SHSH of iOS 4 3 3 and 4 2 8 Using iSHSHit 1 0 8

Saving SHSH is a big issue for jailbreakers, if you don’t save them on time you can get into some troublesome downgrading. For this we already had TinyUmbrella but now iSHSHit has also been updated to version 1.0.8, it’s an alternative to TinyUmbrella. iSHSHit allows you to save SHSH blobs of iOS 4.3.3 and iOS 4.2.8 (Verizon). It does the same job as TinyUmbrella the difference is you can install it on your device where as TinyUmbrella is installed on your computer.

iSHSHit allows you to make a backup of your device SHSH certificates and save them on your device. It also send your saved SHSH blobs via email, also automatically saves your SHSH blobs on Cydia servers using Cydia On-File service. If you’re thinking “Why should i use iSHSHit? ” well the answer is pretty simple it’s as easy as clicking a “Save” button.

iOS5 and GEVEY SIM Unlock

Need some feedback some say is working other say no???


1. Download the iTunes update to the latest version from the site of Apple (iTunes 10.5), and download the latest version of iOS 5 GM (9A334) iPhone 4.

2. Download the latest sn0wbreeze v2.8b8. Run it on your computer with Windows and create a new sn0wbreeze_iPhone 4-5.0.ipsw, choose to save the new IPSW, only (Baseband Preservation Mode).

3. Use redsn0w (not sn0wbreeze) and put your iPhone into a mode DFU. Make sure that you do not have any gs.apple.com records in the file / etc / hosts. Let it stay just the way the server Apple.

4. In iTunes, click restore to your new sn0wbreeze_iPhone 4-5.0.ipsw.

5. Upon completion of the firmware, you will have a modem with iOS 5 04/10/01 GM (9A334) then follow the instructions to unlock the iPhone 4 with Gevey Ultra Sim ... http://applenberry.com/

How To Preserve Baseband And Jailbreak iOS 5 Using Sn0wbreeze 2 8B8 Windows User

As you know that Apple pushed out their next-gen iOS 5 publicly with tons of new features yesterday. People who rely on unlock need to preserve their baseband in order to unlock their iOS devices on iOS 5. Mac OS user were able to do so with redsn0w 0.9.9b5 which was released earlier today. But what about Windows users ? Well as you know that iOS 5 GM and iOS 5 were exactly similar so it’s possible to jailbreak your iOS device on iOS 5 on Windows with Sn0wbreeze 2.8b8 and preserve baseband at the same time.

Some changes have been made in Sn0wbreeze v2.8b8, now it will verify IPSW files very quickly and believe me it’s really fast. Snowbreeze 2.8B8 will jailbreak all your iOS device and this jailbreak will be tethered, which means you’ll have to boot your iOS device in jailbroken state using iBooty every time you reboot.

Step 1: Extract and run Sn0wbreeze-v2.8b8.zip (Windows Vista or Windows7 users must start the application in Administrator mode. To do so, right click mouse button on the icon and selecting “Run as administrator”

Step 2: Connect your iPhone 4, 3GS or iPod Touch to your PC via USB.
Step 3: Click “Browse” button and select iOS 5.0 GM firmware (IPSW) which you downloaded earlier, you can also drag and drop .IPSW file on the given area.

Step 4: Sn0wbreeze will automatically verify the .ipsw file and the device which is required to be jailbroken. Sn0wbreeze will check the firmware if it is correct. Once the iOS 5 IPSW is verified, click the blue arrow button to continue.

Step 5: Sn0wbreeze will give you option to select either “Simple Mode”, “Expert Mode” or “Baseband Preservation Mode” . Select ‘Simple Mode’ and press the blue next button

Step 6: Click ‘Build IPSW’. Since building custom firmware may take some time, you can optionally play Pac-Man game to kill some time.

Step 7: After completion press ‘OK’ button to follow the onscreen instructions to put your device into restorable state.

To enter DFU mode:
  • Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds
  • Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds
  • You device should now be in DFU mode
If you have followed the steps correctly, you will get the following message from Snw0breeze
Restore iOS 5.0 Custom Firmware Using iTunes
Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold Left “Shift” button on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in iTunes and then release this button.

Select the pre-jailbroken custom IPSW that was created (must be on your desktop) and click the Choose button.
Now relax and wait iTunes will do the rest for you. iPhone will restart on completion of firmware installation.

Booting In Tethered Mode:

Step 1: Open iBooty 5.0 folder which was created on your desktop and run iBooty 5.0
Step 2: Select your device and follow the instruction on screen to boot in tethered mode.

A Proxy Server For Siri Hack Without Jailbreak and tools

Few days back, hacker at Applidlium had managed to crack Siri is security protocol that made Siri limited for iPhone 4S only. A hacker today created a proxy server for iPhone 4S’ Siri which named Siri Proxy.

Applidium hack says that idea behind the proxy server is to make it easy for developers to add unlimited functionality to Siri. He released the source code of the created Siri Proxy with the instructions on how to set it up on the well known social coding site – GitHub.

Moreover, the hacker has also demonstrated how the created proxy server works by crating a plugin to control a Wi-Fi thermostat, commands such as “What is the status of the thermostat?” or “Set the thermostat to 68 degrees”, or even “What’s the inside temperature?”.

Hack Without Jailbreak

He mentioned that this wont let you get Siri on other device, it just for you to add your own functions to Siri.

Redsn0w 0 9 8b2 released for iOS 5 beta 3 tethered jailbreak on iPhone iPad and iPod touch

The iPhone Dev Team have updated their redsn0w jailbreak program. They have now released redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 2 for jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 3 tethered on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Redsn0w 0.9.8b2 is available for download on both Windows and Mac machines.

Basically, those who had jailbroken iOS 5 beta 3 with redsn0w 0.9.8b1 were complaining that apps downloaded from the App Store were not opening. This is a sandbox issue, and to fix that, redsn0w 0.9.8b2 has been released which now recognizes the ipsws of all three iOS 5 betas. So when you follow our guide to jailbreak iOS 5 using redsn0w, just select the iOS 5 beta 3 ipsw and boot tethered. No need to re-run the jailbreak if you have already jailbroken iOS 5 beta 3 with redsn0w 0.9.8b1.

On the other hand, if you are doing a fresh jailbreak, then you obviously have to install Cydia. Do remember that this jailbreak is tethered and will require you to connect the device to the computer each time it has to boot up.

Use Spire To Install Siri On Your iPhone 4 iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G 4G Use Over WiFi Or 3G

We’ve been talking about a Siri port ever since iPhone 4S has been released. The jailbreak community already fully ported Siri to the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G but unfortunately there was no way to release the port to the public at the time because Apple owns the copyright on the software, images, and data used inside iOS. When Apple released the second build of iOS 5.0.1, it was released unencrypted and wide open for inspection, allowing developers to easily grab all the Siri files they need for a port without piracy.

Today, we’re going to show you how to install Siri on *older* devices and use it over WiFi and 3G. This is not an easy process, and definitely not for everybody. We did our best, to make this tutorial as easy as possible.

HOW TO:

NOTE: this tutorial is only relevant if you have an iPhone 4S on hand. If not, you’ll have more difficulty getting the 4S authentication tokens.
NOTE: this whole tutorial is happening on a Mac. Because that’s how we roll. If you’re rocking a PC, you can do the exact same thing on Ubuntu using aptget instead of Mac Ports
First of all let’s do some port forwarding. We’re using an AirPort Extreme, so if you’re using any other router, use google to do your research on how to forward ports.
1. Open AirPort Utility
2. Click on Manual Setup

3. Go to Advanced > Port Mapping and tap on the “+” symbol

4. Put in 443 for all the ports and your IP address. Click continue

5. Fill in a description. Call it whatever you want. I called it Siri and click done

6. Now wait for your router to update and you’re done

Now, you need to get SiriProxy up and running. Let’s see how to do this:
1. Download SiriProxy

2. Download and install Mac Ports

3 Open Terminal and type : sudo port install dnsmasq . Type in your computer’s password

4. Type bash < <(curl -s https://raw.github.com/wayneeseguin/.../rvm-installer) to download/install RVM

5. Type [[ -s "$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm" ]] && . “$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm” to activate RVM

6. Type echo ‘[[ -s "$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm" ]] && . “$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm” # Load RVM function’ >> ~/.bash_profile to add RVM to your .bash_profile

7. Type rvm install 1.9.3 to install Ruby 1.9.3
8. Some users might get an error while installing Ruby. This only applies to *some* Lion users.

9. If you get this error, type rvm install 1.9.3 –with-gcc=clang

10. Type rvm use 1.9.3 –default to set RVM to use/default to 1.9.3
11. Now you need to cd into the the siri proxy folder you downloaded at step 1 ( make sure you unzipped it first ). The easiest way is to type cd and then just drag-and-drop the folder from your desktop ( or downloads location – whatever it may be ) to your terminal shell.

12. Type rvmsudo gem install rake bundler to install Rake and Bundler. Type in your computer password
13. Type rake install to Install SiriProxy gem
14. Type mkdir ~/.siriproxy to make .siriproxy directory
15. Type cp ./config.example.yml ~/.siriproxy/config.yml to move default config file to .siriproxy
16. Type sudo port install openssl
NOTE: now here is where you need to pay some attention if you want to make Siri running over 3G ( as well as WiFi ). If you have a static IP continue to the next step. If you have dynamic IP you’ll need some sort of service like dynDNS set up ( that’s a whole other tutorial. So google it, get it done, and proceed to the next step )
17. Now we need to generate certificates
For dynamic IP:
1. Browse to /opt/local/etc/openssl/openssl.cnf and open openssl.cnf in a text editor ( we used TextWrengler ).
2. Scroll down (line 148), until you see:
commonName = Common Name (eg, YOUR name)
commonName_max = 64
3. Replace it with:
0.commonName = Common Name (eg, YOUR name)
0.commonName_default = www.domain1.com
0.commonName_max = 64
1.commonName = Common Name (eg, YOUR name)
1.commonName_default = DomainQuadrat: Domain, Domains registrieren, Domainhandel, .AT Domains, Domain-Beratung
1.commonName_max = 64
4. Save and quit
5. Open up a finder window, hit cmd+shift+g and go to ~/.siriproxy
6. open up a terminal shell and cd ~/.siriproxy
7. Generate the certificates (do these commands one at a time, carefully.) IMPORTANT: You can use whatever info you want when it asks for it, just make sure that for the common names you put your dnyDNS or no-ip domain FIRST and guzzoni.apple.com SECOND. Very important step.
openssl genrsa -des3 -out ca.key 4096
openssl req -new -x509 -days 365 -key ca.key -out ca.crt

openssl genrsa -des3 -out server.key 4096
openssl req -new -key server.key -out server.csr

openssl x509 -req -days 365 -in server.csr -CA ca.crt -CAkey ca.key -set_serial 01 -out server.passless.crt
openssl rsa -in server.key -out server.key.insecure

mv server.key server.key.secure
mv server.key.insecure server.passless.key
For static IP:

  • Type ./siriproxy gencerts
18. Next you need to install ca.pem ( for static IP ) or ca.crt ( for dynamic iP ) onto your iPhone ( both iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 ). To do that open a finder window, press cmd+shift+G and enter the following path ~/.siriproxy

19. Email ca.pem/ca.crt to yourself

20. On your phone you will see the new file. Tap on it and install it.

21. Search your Mac for this file: dnsmasq.conf. Once you’ve found it, open it in a texteditor ( we suggest TextWrangler – free ). Inside the file find #address=double-click.net/127.0.0.1 ( line 62 ). Right below that, add the following line: address=/guzzoni.apple.com/your-computer-IP

21.1 Type in terminal sudo dnsmasq . Check activity monitor if dnsmasq is running ( all processes )

22. On your iPhone 4S, open Settings.app. Go to WiFi, select your WiFi, and edit your DNS. Should be something like 10.0.1.0. Change it to your computer’s IP ( the same address you used in dnsmasq.conf file )

23. Now you need to cd into the bin folder found in the westbaer-SiriProxy-a2219ee that you’ve downloaded at step 1. To do that type cd and drag-and-drop the bin folder into the terminal

24. Type ./siriproxy bundle

25. Type rvmsudo siriproxy server and type your password.

26. Now everything should be up and running. To test it, fire up Siri and say ‘Test Siri Proxy’

27. On your iPhone 4, open Cydia, and install Spire ( it’s a big download so make sure you’re on WiFi and your phone won’t go to sleep in the process ) and iFile.
28. Go to Settings.app >Generala>Siri> and turn it on ( turn off Raise to Speak option – you don’t need it, it’s annoying and it will drain your battery )
29. Go to Settings.app > Spire and fill in your proxy host. For static IP use https://guzzoni.apple.com . For dynamic IP use https://your-dns-domain-name
30. Open iFile and browse to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/ find the com.apple.assistant.plist and tap on it to open with the property list viewer.

31. Now you need to add 3 new strings to the Dictionary. Tap on ‘Accounts’ , then tap on ‘Dictionary’, hit the “+” symbol on the bottom right side of the screen and add:

  • Ace Host
  • Assistant Identifier
  • Speech Identifier
32. Make sure SiriProxy is running and use your iPhone 4S to trigger Siri ( say whatever, it doesn’t matter ). By doing this, you will assign your 4S tokens to your iPhone 4.
33. Now you should be able to use Siri over WiFi on your iPhone 4.
34. To use it over 3G, open iFile browse to /etc/ and look for the hosts file. Open it with text viewer, edit it, and add the following line:

  • for static IP: your-ip-address guzzoni.apple.com
  • for dynamic IP: your-dns-domain-name guzzoni.apple.com

35. That’s it. Enjoy Siri on your iPhone 4

NOTE: a terminal shell with SiriProxy running is required at all times in order for Siri to work on your iPhone 4
